The German Instrument of Surrender of May 1945 was used to end World War II in Europe. This is the official document which signifies the official surrendering of the main German Military to the Allied Forces and Soviet Union militaries. The document details the terms of the surrender and the actions that will go through within the next couple days to instill peace between the nations. As a result of these actions, World War II was officially ended, and peace between the nations was starting to be restored again.
